The clownfish underwater picture gallery

• Why The "Clown" Fish Picture Gallery?
  There is no special reason for this. The clown fish is an amusing fish, but unfortunately there are not only clown fish photos in the database.
  
  

• Where is the domain NU located, and is the server also there?
  NU stands for Niue which is a small coral island in the south pacific, east of Tonga. The main city is Alofi. The Clown Fish picture Gallery is placed under that domain, because I thought, that this would be a better place for underwater pictures than "Switzerland (.ch)". The server is located in Switzerland of course.
  
  

• Can I search for specific fishes, corals and so on?
  Unfortunately not at the moment. The photos are not indexed by the names of the fishes and corals.
  
  

• Can I use these pictures as desktop pictures, and if so, how?
  Yes, of course. Simply search for a picture that you like. If you click on the large picture you will get a version in a higher resolution (about 1000 x 700 pixel). If you click on this with the right mouse button, the pop-up menu will give you the option "Set as wallpaper".
  
  

• Are there pictures of ... in the database?
  Many people are looking for photos of dolphins, whales, and the Titanic, for example. At the moment I don’t have such pictures. But I’m always trying to improve the number of different species in the gallery. (If you have special wishes, you can write to me, and I will see what I can do.). But you will have to wait a little for pictures of the Titanic...
  
  

• Is the number of pictures in the database constant or growing?
  The database is growing at a rate depending on how much travel I can do. After each trip I put some (not only the best pictures) of the underwater pictures in the database.
  
  

• Why are there pictures with low quality (rating *) in the database?
  Normally people only show their best photos in the Internet. I decided to show a wide range of pictures.
  
  
• Can I use some of these pictures on my own web page?
  Yes, certainly, as long as you indicate my name under each picture and there is a link to the Clown Fish Picture Gallery (http://www.clownfish.nu) on your site. Feel free to use them unter this restrictions (e.g. Carles underwater photo site).
  Conditions:
  1. All the pictures on the Website www.clownfish.nu are copyright protected.
  2. Use of the pictures on your own site is only free of charge for private purposes. Commercial pages (e.g. Dive Centres) can acquire the usage rights on the Internet or on Print-Media for a fee.
  3. The copyright notice “© Wilhelm Bögershausen” must appear under each picture used.
  4. At least one link must be present to the site www.clownfish.nu.
  5. Neither photos nor a link to the clownfish site may be used for homepages with illegal content.
